Jake Wiest is a folk/punk/comedy singer/songwriter from various parts of the US Pacific Northwest. Now living in Berlin, he is unsure if it’s more proper to call himself an expat or an immigrant, but either way, he’s happy to be here.
Trained as a performer from an early age, Jake has studied and practiced music and stage entertainment for many years. He has performed as an actor in plays, films, and commercials, and as a bassist/guitarist/singer/fucking clown for various bands including as the front man for the Portland-based “sci-firish” rock band Garden Goat and the comedy acoustic rock duo Sleeve of Wizard.
In Berlin, he currently works as a comedic singer/songwriter at music and comedy venues where he combines the love of songwriting and the joy of making people laugh. A giant medieval fantasy nerd at heart, he is a real-life bard straight outta Dungeons and Dragons, constantly working at earning those sweet, sweet experience points.
